CATERING AND HOSPITALITY DEPARTMENT

The Catering and Hospitality department is one of the youngest and fastest growing departments in Don Bosco Technical Institute numerically and infrastructural wide. The idea to open this program was an initiative of the school management, which seeks to offer more opportunities to the young girls and boys who will like to be trained in the catering and hospitality industry

Sustainability

There is no denial indeed that Catering and Hospitality is expensive; so are other courses in the school. The school, since the inception of the department, the services of the catering department is highly patronized by the entire school. The account office of the school have given them a revolving fund which they use to purchase items for students practical, and all the final products of the practical are sold to the staff and students and the money recovered to be used for next practical.

Support

The department is fortunate to enjoy some donor support to procure most of the training materials and equipment in this department to ease financial burden from students and parents.

I will like state categorically that Catering and Hospitality program is not a preserve for girls. All our courses are opened to both boys and girls who are interested.

Available Courses are the following:

Food Production Technology (FTP)

Principles of Catering (POC)

Practicals
